Installing the PowerNotes extension
- Often, institutions block their email addresses from being able to install extensions in browsers. Here’s what you need to do: login to your browser using a personal email address. Then, install the PowerNotes extension and use your school email address to login to the extension.
Avoid account mismatch
- Make sure you login to the PowerNotes website (powernotes.com) and the PowerNotes browser extension using the same set of credentials.
Applying access codes purchased through the online campus bookstore
- Once your purchase through the bookstore is complete, you’ll be taken to a page that displays your PowerNotes access code and/or emailed a receipt from the bookstore that contains the PowerNotes access code. PowerNotes access codes are 6 characters. Codes can be applied when you create a PowerNotes account on the PowerNotes website or on your PowerNotes Account Page.
Not sure if my access code was properly applied to my account
- On your PowerNotes Account Page, the various PowerNotes plans are displayed on the left side of the screen. Your account should be listed as “promotional”.
Not seeing your assignments in PowerNotes
- If your instructor directed you to create your PowerNotes account via the link provided in your Learning Management System (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.), you’ll need to login through this link to access your assignments. Creating an account through the PowerNotes website won’t connect you to your assignments, you must go through your Learning Management System.
Not seeing AI tools in my account
- See above - you’ll need to create your account through the Learning Management System and login using the link provided by your instructor to connect your PowerNotes account to the AI tools.
Haven’t received the PowerNotes account verification email
- This email could take a few minutes to arrive. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder. If you still have not received it, please reach to PowerNotes using the feedback/support button or email [email protected].
I was told my school has free access to PowerNotes, how do I claim it?
- Create a PowerNotes using your school email address. Once you click the link in the verification email, your account will be granted free, Premium access.
I have multiple PowerNotes accounts, how do I delete an account?
- Reach out to PowerNotes and we will delete your account(s).
